In 2005, the Bonnie family, owner of the renowned classified growth Château Malartic-Lagravière in Pessac-Léognan (Bordeaux) became part of the Argentinean adventure through the purchase of a single estate of 130 hectares nestled in the foothills of the Andes Mountains at an altitude of 3600 feet a.s.l. This is where the Bodega DiamAndes was born, in Mendoza, in the Uco Valley as a member of the prestigious Clos de los Siete.
Thanks to its unique terroir, combined with the Bordeaux know-how of the Bonnie family and the local expertise of its Argentinean team, Diamandes creates distinguished and stylish wines. The vinegrowing is conducted with sustainable practices and global environmental care, and since 2019 the vineyard is transitioning to an organic farming. Everything in this Estate Winery is made towards achieving the highest quality: Hand picking, hand double sorting after cooling the grapes in cold storage chambers, complete gravitational process (from the harvest to the bottle), fermentation in small temperature-controlled stainless-steel tanks.
