The Bodegas Gallegas Group was born more than 60 years ago as a personal project of its founder Manuel Vázquez, known in his environment as “Manolo Arnoya”, and has been growing since then, but maintaining the same family and traditional character from the beginning and with a common goal: the passion for wine. Currently, his son Manuel and his daughter Myriam are in charge of the group and are concerned with maintaining the same essence with which Bodegas Gallegas was born, incorporating at the same time a more professional and global business vision that has allowed the group to consolidate among the most important wineries in Galicia.
Thanks to the close collaboration of the winery with the winegrowers of the area, it has been possible to maintain the methods of elaboration and harvesting of the grape based on the winemaking tradition of the Rías Baixas, which has more than 9 centuries of history. However, part of the grapes come from our own vineyards where Albariño vineyards are under the influence of Atlantic ocean and grapes reach its maximum potential due to the unique climate characterized by mild temperatures and with sandy loam soils. As a consequence of this climate, the grapes mature at average temperatures of 26-28ºC, giving rise to musts with balanced acidity and wines with a complex aromatic potential and high freshness.
