The Sangro wine is born in the heart of central Abruzzo, between the Maiella Mountain, the sunny hills and the Trabocchi Coast. It is an expression of a natural vocation of the territory, nourished by traditions, experiences and passions that have been handed down for generations. These vineyards are located in the valley of the Sangro river, a natural reserve. Most of these fields are located on the northern bank.
Cantina Sangro is a cooperative. 110 members joined forces in 1971 and put together about 100 Ha of vineyards. The two co-ops of Southern Abruzzo joined forces in 2020. Both are under the supervision of veteran enologist Gianni Pasquale, for almost 3 decades responsible for the high-quality production at these wineries.
Today their wine embodies their great passion and expertise handed down for generations.
