Château Billerond is a sixteen hectares property towards the eastern part of the village of Saint-Emilion, characterized by its fresh fruit aromas with medium-bodied style. The vineyard has been active for 100 years.
In 1956, Michel Robin married Janine Lafugie, thereby joining their families and vineyards. The Lafugie family property is located in the commune of Saint Hippolyte, at the beginning of the hills of Saint-Emilion, with sandy and sandy-clay soil, producing wines from both Saint-Emilion and Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Appellation. The Robin family vineyards are located in the commune of Saint-Genes de Castillon, with limestone-clay soils, producing wines from Cotes de Bordeaux.
Women are the core of this vineyard, having managed the production for three generations, with Michel and Janine’s two daughters, Inès and Laurence, operating the Estate today.
