Built atop a fairytale 13th-century estate, Château Ramafort has consistently produced the finest Médoc Cru Bourgeois wines for over three centuries.
With Cabernet Sauvignon growing on its gravel-based soil and Merlot growing on its limestone-clay based soil, Château Ramafort’s unique terroir delivers rich and complex wines with minimal intervention that have accrued awards and prestige around the world.
The philosophy of Château Ramafort is somewhat different to many chateaux in Bordeaux due to their unique storage capacity. In 1990, they built the largest underground cellar in the region, locally known as “The Cathedral,” where they have the ability to stock over ten separate vintages at any given time.
Château Ramafort in 1995 was the first Médoc vineyard to win the Coupe des Cru Bourgeois.
Today, vintages from 2005 to 2010 are currently being enjoyed in over 40 countries around the world.
Chateau Ramafort is part of the Group “Les Domaines CGR,” along with Château La Cardonne and Château Grivière.
