Fattoi is located on the southern slope of Montalcino.
Ofelio Fattoi used to work at Poggio alle Mura (Banfi) and constantly lurk at some fields just nearby, a little north. Not without a struggle, Ofelio bought a piece of land in the mid 60s and bottled the first Brunello in 1979.
Meanwhile, sons Leonardo and Lamberto joined in.
Today Fattoi is an estate of 70 hectares, about 10 covered by vineyards and the rest by olive trees, grains fields, a forest and a little pond. A typical Tuscan estate: we arrive at Fattoi, welcomed by the classic cypress trees. House above, cellar below and the vineyard all around.
