Ferraton Père & Fils

At the origin of Domaine de Ferraton, there is one man, Jean Orens Ferraton.  A winemaker, son of winemaker in the Rhone Valley and it was in 1946 that the story begins.

In 1946, Domaine de Ferraton was founded by Jean Orens Ferraton, a second-generation Rhone Valley winemaker. His son, Michel, inherited the same passion, and decided to expand his father’s vineyards. Crozes-Hermitage and Saint-Joseph Ferraton were brought into the world.

A close friend of the Ferraton family, Michel Chapoutier brought his expertise to the operation. In 1998, he helped convert the vineyards to organic viticulture and get them certified.

Today, Ferraton Pere and Fils are carried by an enthusiasm for both the environment and Rhone tradition.
