Jaillance is a cooperative winery with over 200 winegrowing members and more than 100 employees, and is France’s leading producer of AOC sparkling wines. Jaillance’s premium-quality wines regularly win medals and awards in the most prestigious wine competitions, both in France and abroad. With a unique combination of experience and savoir-faire, Jaillance truly knows how to make their terroirs sparkle!
From tending vineyards to shipping bottles, throughout all the stages of the winemaking process, the people who work with and for Jaillance share four fundamental values: respect for nature and the land, a firm belief in the cooperative system, a desire for quality, and an innovative, entrepreneurial spirit.
Jaillance truly cares about the environment and employee wellbeing. It should come as no surprise then, that they are wholly committed to sustainable development and to going that extra mile to find a better way to protect nature and support their community. These goals led them to become certificated through Vignerons Développement Durable, or VDD.
In 2007, ten pioneering wine cellars—each a leader in its region and striving to find a balance between their economic activities and their impact on society and the environment—decided to design a Sustainable Development strategy. This was the beginning of the Vignerons en Développement Durable adventure.
