Mas des Infermières

Filmmaker Ridley Scott and his family fell for the Luberon’s charm over 30 years ago, finding their haven as Mas des Infermières in 1992. The vines of the Mas are situated at an altitude of 200 meters and the estate combines the southernmost terroir of the Rhone Valley and the characteristics of the Mediterranean climate of Haute Provence, with hot, dry summers and mild winters.

However, the Luberon massif also helps to moderate the climate, providing some protection from the strong Mistral winds that blow from the north. The large diurnal temperature variation, with hot days and cool nights, helps grapes retain acidity and develop complex flavors.

The winery also boasts a modern cellar and labels designed by Ridley Scott himself, reflecting Provençal elegance of the beautiful terroir of Luberon.

HVE certified, the estate is committed to sustainable practices and use certified bee-friendly viticulture methods. They do not use insecticides and have sown a variety of wild flowers to attract bees.
