The House of Christian Drouin continues to explore new flavor pairings.
After launching Le Gin de Christian Drouin – the only gin made from over 30 varieties of cider apples and 7 botanicals carefully selected to perfectly complement the aromas of apple and juniper – Guillaume Drouin now introduces a new blend dedicated to red fruits.
Carmina is crafted following the same principles as the original Le Gin: each botanical is macerated and re-distilled separately to optimize aroma extraction. The distillates are then blended before bottling.
This time, the bouquet is decidedly summery. It brings together floral and fruity notes with the use of raspberry, blackcurrant, elderflower, vanilla, lemon, and orange, in addition to juniper and Normandy cider apples.
