A top clay layer with calcareous and tuffeau soil underneath. 140 acres of organic vineyards all located in Miralduolo di Torgiano, all around the main house. Certified Organic EU Standard, Ceritified Equalitas Sustainable Winery, and part of the New Green Revolution program: the wine is certified organic, produced at the winery only with estate grapes. Terre Margaritelli have selected a specific forest in Burgundy, the forest of Bertranges, for its own barrels. The family has the right to cut the oak trees in Bertrange and to give the wood to the barrel maker to produce the barrels for the winery.
Harvest starts around half of September. Soft press of the grapes then fermentation in steel. The wine is aged for 3 months in new French barrels.
The barrel reinforces the balsamic notes in the bouquet, while on the palate it is powerful with excellent structure. Strong acidity and persistence are the essential characteristics of Greco di Renabianca.
