Château Billerond is a 16 hectares property towards the Eastern part of the village of Saint Emilion. Characterised by its fresh fruit character with medium-bodied style.
Soils: clayey with sandy parts with iron oxide in the subsoil
Average age of the vines : 25 – 30 years
100% fermented in stainless steel after a pre-ferment maceration of one week. Pressed vertically for a very soft extraction.
This has lovely, soft Merlot fruit with ripe tannins and red berry fruit fla-vours on the palate. Slight hints of oak are coming through.
At room temperature. This wine can be enjoyed with easy going food. Even better as an aperitif.
